There are five constitencies covering Dyfed. They are all county constituencies (CCs) of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (Westminster), and are used also for elections to the National Assembly for Wales. The current boundaries have been effective since the Welsh Assembly election, 2007 and the 2010 United Kingdom general election[1].
Dyfed is one of the eight preserved counties of Wales, consisting of the principal areas of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. These principal areas are also known as counties.
For Welsh Assembly elections, constituencies are grouped into additional member electoral regions.
